Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry
The Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry, a program of Jewish Family & Children’s Service, provides food, personal care items and community resource referrals to help individuals and families through difficult times. The Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry is dedicated to alleviating hunger among people of all faiths and backgrounds. Kosher food and other special dietary needs can be accommodated. The Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry currently serves over 7,000 people each month who would otherwise go hungry.
Friends of Kids with Cancer
Friends of Kids with Cancer is devoted to enriching the daily lives of children undergoing treatment for, and survivors of, cancer and blood -related diseases. Our mission is to be an advocate for these special kids and provide them and their families with the educational, emotional, and recreational support needed as a result of the long hours of chemotherapy, illness and isolation.
Back to School Store
The Back to School Store & Kids Community Closet serves area agencies & schools to identify children in need. During the Back to School Store, each child is assigned an adult volunteer to help them shop for brand new clothing & school supplies to get them ready for the upcoming school year. Also, community organizations offering services & information about child safety, nutrition, vision screening & health issues are part of the on-site family resource center for parents & guardians. Year round, our Kids Community Closets provide new clothing on an as needed basis to elementary school kids at 22 local public schools & the HKJ Food Pantry in the St. Louis area.
